Made in Shirebrook
18 September 1978
I was born Lee James Blunt in Shirebrook, Derbyshire to a working class family in a mining town in 1978, I was born on the day the great Jimi Hendrix died and the England was experiencing the Sex Pistols and Punk.
I am an ex soldier and served in many warzones throughout the world, I have been writing poetry for around ten years and write on social commentary and personal experiences.
I also write songs and play guitar with a rock, punk, folk flavour.
After spending six years in the British Army and serving in Iraq, Bosnia and various other conflict zones, it gave me a vision for my poetry and verse which is shown in my lyrics.
